If you’re a vinyl junkie, you want your music to sound exactly as the artist intended - and that means 33⅓ RPM, not 35. Previously, checking your turntable for accuracy was difficult and inexact. But no longer. Measuring your turntable’s speed is now as simple as setting your phone down. Just start Turntabulator, place it on your platter, and start spinning. In as little as a few seconds, Turntabulator will adapt its output to your turntable, revealing its analysis in a stabilized rotating display that has to be seen to be believed. No twisting your neck - just read and be delighted.

Through the power of Musical Analysis with Gyroscopically Indifferent Calculations (MAGIC), no gyroscope is required, so Turntabulator works just fine on older devices. In fact, the results are more accurate than the gyroscope would provide.

Turntabulator offers two measurement modes. Quick Mode will give you results within 0.1 RPM very quickly, typically in 15 seconds or less. Or, if you’re a perfectionist, use Exact Mode for more precise results, typically reaching 0.01 RPM error or less within one or two minutes.

Turntabulator will auto-sense 33⅓ or 45 RPM, or can be fixed at either setting. It then displays the percentage error compared to the target RPM, and whether your turntable is running slow or fast.

That’s it! Start using Turntabulator, and make sure your vinyl sounds as perfect as possible.

Pros and cons of Turntabulator app for iPhone and iPad

Turntabulator app good for

I set the speed to 33 RPM, and the mode to Exact, and it worked fine. It took a while but that might have been a) my setup, & b) aggressive initial adjustments. It pays to make minute adjustments and wait for a few cycles to let it settle in. Well done!
Ignore the 1 stars. This involves setting your iPhone on the platter and it measures speed beautifully. The one star people somehow thought an iPad would fit on there. I bought an old bang and olufsen. It measured at 34 rpm. After about 5 tweaks it is now at 33.3. Clever app. I set my phone with the middle of the side of it at the spindle.

Some bad moments

This app does not work on Ipad and it is not indicated in the discription, this is a shame! I paid for nothing, only to get a message telling me to use an Iphone. This is a rip off.
It says its iPad compatible, but all you get is a warning not to use it on an iPad. Thieves!
Dont buy if you only have an Ipad, wont work, this program ask you to use an iphone... I paid for nothing
Easy to use! My record player has needed this for a long time! With the help of this app, my turntable sounds better than it ever has... in less than a minute! Pure simplistic genius!
I dont get how it works, but it works. Im assuming the accelerometer, but I havent a clue. As a DJ, I use this every time I set up my deck.
Why spend $$ on visually-oriented speed testers when you can get amazingly accurate results with an incredibly affordable app? I was able to measure both my belt-drive and my direct-drive tables speed at both 33 and 45 with ease and, importantly, accuracy. Sorry for all the adverbs, but this is just awesome.
