This app does not work on Ipad and it is not indicated in the discription, this is a shame! I paid for nothing, only to get a message telling me to use an Iphone. This is a rip off.

I set the speed to 33 RPM, and the mode to Exact, and it worked fine. It took a while but that might have been a) my setup, & b) aggressive initial adjustments. It pays to make minute adjustments and wait for a few cycles to let it settle in. Well done!
It says its iPad compatible, but all you get is a warning not to use it on an iPad. Thieves!
Ignore the 1 stars. This involves setting your iPhone on the platter and it measures speed beautifully. The one star people somehow thought an iPad would fit on there. I bought an old bang and olufsen. It measured at 34 rpm. After about 5 tweaks it is now at 33.3. Clever app. I set my phone with the middle of the side of it at the spindle.
Works as promised. Worth every penny.
Dont buy if you only have an Ipad, wont work, this program ask you to use an iphone... I paid for nothing
Very quick and easy to use. Accurate enough for me
Easy to use! My record player has needed this for a long time! With the help of this app, my turntable sounds better than it ever has... in less than a minute! Pure simplistic genius!
I dont get how it works, but it works. Im assuming the accelerometer, but I havent a clue. As a DJ, I use this every time I set up my deck.
Why spend $$ on visually-oriented speed testers when you can get amazingly accurate results with an incredibly affordable app? I was able to measure both my belt-drive and my direct-drive tables speed at both 33 and 45 with ease and, importantly, accuracy. Sorry for all the adverbs, but this is just awesome.
A must for vinyl aficionados. Im glad I have it close by in case my records start to sound funny and I want to troubleshoot.
was listening to the eurythmics album "be yourself tonight" on vinyl. something didnt sound quite "right"; it seemed like the turntable was spinning a little too fast. not a *lot*, but enough that it sounded weird. annie lenox was hitting notes she cant sing. turned on the app, set it on my spinner and in a minute or so, boom! my turntable was spinning about 4% fast! this app is super easy to use and fast! if you love your turntable, you will love this app.
I was skeptical, so I dropped it on my Technics SL-1200 to test its accuracy. Bam! Dead on 33.33 RPM. Another one of my tables...not so dead on. A few minutes later, Im getting consistent 33.35 RPM readings. A must have app if you have any concerns about your tables speed accuracy.
When you buy this app, if you have an Ipad all you get for your money is a warning message.
I did several tests and each time it came back with consistent results. Its accuracy is uncanny. A tip - it seems to work best when placed on the platter sideways, where the top of the phone is 90 degrees from the center of the platter. Feature request: add a "live" value as it spins and youll replace the competitions app
This app would be great if it would allow real time read-outs and therefore adjustments. As of now it requires averaging times of several tens of seconds: too long to be useful in tuning the platter rotational velocity.
The app never worked. Kept on getting "interrupted " over and over again.
Come on, how can you sell a technically related app and not even offer a single image of how to place your iPhone on the platter when measuring the speed? Its an incredible oversight. Should it go in the center of the table over the spindle? Should it be placed straight up-and-down with the side of the iPhone touching the spindle? Should it be placed perpendicular to the spindle with the top of the iPhone touching it? This is a Mystery youll never know due to the zero documentation provided with this app. All the author would have to do is post one darn photo. Absolutely ridiculous.
Used this to speed check my record cutting lathe. Compared results with a 1000 line optical encoder and frequency counter. Results jive. One enhancement I would like to see is adding 78 RPM. Or a custom RPM input field.
Just put your phone next to your turntables axis, hit spin and turn your turntable on. The display will auto adjust and youll be good to go! It takes like a second and a half to get a measurement, but if youre patient enough this app works like a charm. 5/5
